The former President of Nigeria Olusegun Obasanjo says; Nigeria is drifting fast to a failed state under  the watch of President Muhammadu Buhari.

This statement was made by the former president of Nigeria during a Live session in Abuja with some socio-cultural groups on Friday.

The former president Obasanjo stated "The economy of Nigeria is becoming a basket case and poverty capital of the world and are firming towards an unwholesome and insecure country socially"

The former president Obasanjo now called the stakeholders of Nigeria to make concerted efforts towards preventing Nigeria from tripping over.

According to Obasanjo, "Nigeria is fast drifting to a failed and badly divided state today, our country is becoming a basket case and poverty capital of the world economically and the country is firming up towards unwholesome and insecurity socially.

These circumstance are the result of the recent mis-manangment of socio-economic development and diversity of our country Nigeria.

If people are not dancing to the beat nor singing the songs, they would  be marked as unpatriotic citizin ethically or enemies of the its geographical area or tribe.

He said further, He is happy that the five socio-cultural political groups have been getting together in order to find a common ground for the essense of moving the country away from tripping over.

Continuing his speech, The former president Obasanjo reminded those people that are singing the chorus of anger, bitterness and separation. Those people beating the drums of disintegration; that even if Nigeria gets broken up, the broken and separated parts will still stand as neighbors. And as neighbors, they will find accommodation or forever be at war with each other. Those people who don't want peace and justice to reign will surely invite violence to reign.
