Outbreak of Yellow Fever in Ganjuwa, Bauchi State

The Bauchi State Primary Healthcare Development Agency (BSPHCDA) has alerted an outbreak of the dreaded Yellow Fever disease in Ganjuwa Local Government Area of the state which has claimed 8 persons with their samples testing positive to Yellow fever. The Chairman of the agency, Rilwanu Mohammed, stated this while briefing journalists in Bauchi yesterday. 

According to him, the State Polio team were in some communities in Ganjuwa for routine exercises when they eight strange deaths. “Eight samples were brought for Lassa fever and Yellow fever tests and all the samples tested positive for Yellow fever.” He said.
