NIMC:Link NIN to your mobile number to avoid disconnection, see extended date

 

All across the states, there is the rush to beat the 2 weeks deadline in place by the NIMC for Nigerians to link their SIM cards to their National Identity numbers. 

The federal government, through the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy, this month issued a two-week ultimatum to all telecommunications operators in the country to block all Subscriber Identification Modules (SIMs) without National Identification Number (NIN).

The House of Representatives has asked the NCC to extend the two-week ultimatum to ten weeks.

 The FG has extended the deadline for the registration of NIN by telcos service subscribers.

• Three weeks extension for subscribers with NIN from 30th Dec., 2020 to 19th January, 2021.

• Six weeks extension for subscribers without NIN from 30th Dec., 2020 to 9th Feb., 2021. 

For Mtn network subscribers:

Avoid disconnection, link your National Identification Number (NIN) to your mobile number on the MTN network. 

Simply dial *785*NIN#


For Airtel network subscribers:

Don’t wait till it’s too late. Link your National Identification Number (NIN) to your phone number. Just dial *121*1# now to link, and *346# to know your NIN. 


For Glo network subscribers:

Do one of the following to link your National Identification Number to your mobile number on the Glo network to avoid disconnection.

Nigerians with National Identity cards, be informed that your NIN number is written in your National Identity cards or slips.
