President Buhari appoints Major Gen. Mohammed Buba Marwa as NDLEA boss


The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has a new leader, in the person of Retired Maj. Gen. Mohammed Buba Marwa, former Military Administrator of Lagos and Borno States. His appointment was confirmed by President Buhari as revealed yesterday by Mallam Garba Shehu, Senior Special Assistant to the President on media and publicity.

Before his recent appointment, the close ally of the President had worked assiduously as Chairman of Presidential Advisory Committee for the Elimination of Drug Abuse, PACEDA, between 2018 and December, 2020, along with others to develop a blue print on how to end drug abuse in Nigeria.
