Paul Pogba sends Manchester United into the Last Eight in the Europa League

Paul Pogba came off the bench to rescue Manchester United as he struck the only goal in their 1-0 Europa League last 16 win over Milan on Thursday, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men edging the tie 2-1 on aggregate.

A tepid first half had little in the way of goalmouth action, with Dean Henderson producing a couple of smart saves to keep the score at 0-0.

Pogba was introduced at half-time as Solskjaer went in search of that elusive away goal, and it didn't take long for the Frenchman to make his mark. After some pinball in the Milan area, the ball fell to the midfielder's feet and he produced a brilliant finish to outfox Gianluigi Donnarumma and hand United the advantage.

Milan threw everything they had at the visitors as the clock began to tick down on their Europa League campaign, but they were unable to find the breakthrough as the Red Devils booked their place in the last eight.
