Bayelsa builds new airport

Former Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa state built an Airport. He said all neccessary facilities and equipment were in place though the runway lighting system was still in installation.

There was an inspection of the airport and it's facilities by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority and they gave their approval for commercial flights operation in Bayelsa state.

Today, the director-general Nuhu Musa gave the approval letter to Governor Douye Diri at the government house, yenagoa to give his consent of approval.

From the reports given, NCAA states out of 29 requirements they had achieve 26 and the others were non-safety related.

DG advised that there should be a limited flight to daytime operations due to runway that's still in installation.  

Governor Seriake Dickson was praised by NCAA for a job well done.
