Chad President killed by Rebels


General Azim Bermandoa Agouna, Chad army spokesperson disclosed the death of President Idriss Deby who was killed at the warfront by rebels.

Transitional council was established by son of the late President in reaction to the death of his father.

Military council ordered land and air borders to Chad should be closed. A curfew was also imposed from 6pm to 5am. Their duties were to ensure National Independence territorial integrity, unity, respect for national agreement and treaties and ensure transition is within 18 months 

The rebels responsible for the death of late President were suspected to be from a group known by it's French acronym FACT-Front for Change and Concord in Chad.
