Gas Expansion project will create more Jobs-Federal Government


Federal Government on Monday stated that  the gas expansion project will uplift not less than 100 million Nigerians.

 At the opening ceremony of NGEP consultative forum, Minister of state petroleum resources, Timipre Sylva said in Owerri that FG is committed to giving jobs to millions of young Nigerians.

 He said, "counting the impacts of the programme on socioeconomic space within 1st year of it's launching, the administrative further stepped up it's commitment, to industrializing Nigeria through gas utilization declaring year 2021-2030 decade of gas.

 "With proven gas reserves of over 200 million cubic feet and natural gas presents an opportunity for the nation to use gas as the catalyst for it's socioeconomic renaissance".

 Imo state Governor, Hope Uzodinma played a major role in projecting the NGEP. He was represented by the Speaker of State House Assembly, Paul Emeziem at the meeting where he said the state will continually partner with FG to provide jobs for youths. He was highly appreciated by Sylva, former governor of Bayelsa state expressed hope that the program would have positive effect on the economy of the country.
