JUSUN kick-start protests today

 

Judiciary Staff Union (JUSUN) officially commences their protest today over financial autonomy of  judiciary and the end seems to be indefinite.

The protest was stated to be led in Abuja by National Treasurer of the union, comrade Jimon Alonge.

We need recall earlier that JUSUN had on April 6th shut down all courts and supreme Court wasn't excluded. They said that their actions was to war against the refusal of government to comply with the Constitution provision for financial autonomy of Judiciary.

Since on Friday, the judiciary were unable to reach any negotiation with the government and have threatened to add mass protest to the strike.

 Alonge addresses the journalists at court of appeal headquarters, he stated the Judiciary has been facing so much challenges but if financial autonomy is taken care of, others will follow suit.

 He alleged that the government of Ebonyi and Kaduna state looks down on the judiciary. Henceforth, they will not tolerate such from anybody.
