Mallam Adamu orders for emergency meeting for ASUU

 

Mallam Adamu, the minister of education, has welcomed the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) to a crisis meeting following the danger to set out on another round of strike. 


The crisis meeting is hanging on Tuesday, April 6, at 11:00 am in the service's Headquarters in Abuja. 


The assertion read: "Adamu has welcomed the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) to a crisis meeting following the danger to set out on another round of strike. "The crisis meeting is to hold tomorrow, the sixth of April 2021 at 11:00 am in the Ministry's Headquarters in Abuja. Clarifying the justification the crisis meeting, the Minister said the gathering is planned to stop the strike from the beginning." 


It was accounted for that Professor Biodun Ogunyemi, ASUU president in a meeting on Sunday, March 21, clarified that the association has not given a notification for any mechanical activity for the present. 


He said he didn't know about any arrangement to leave on a new strike. He additionally focused on that ASUU has been in converses with the government concerning remarkable issues emerging from the last strike. 


Ogunyemi's response is coming close to 7 days after the administrator of ASUU in the University of Ibadan, Prof. Ayo Akinwole, said exploitation of individuals and non-installment of compensations may provoke a new modern activity.
