Akon's Range Rover sports car stolen at gas station

Popular american artiste Akon's car has been stolen. The Range Rover was stolen at a gas station on Monday night, May 24 in the Buckhead neighbourhood of Atlanta. According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Akon stopped at a gas station called Quiktrip to refill his white Range Rover vehicle. He left the car running with the keys inside and got down to fill up the gas tank. However, before he was done, he noticed someone had taken of with his car. Some really valuable items were in the car like his $25,000 diamond necklace, a Louis Vuitton bag and his IPhone.

Akon then rang the police who in turn got to the gas station at about 11:59pm. He informed the police that a black Sedan followed his SUV when it turned right into Sidney Marcus Boulevard. Subsequent surveillance confirmed he was telling the truth.

Since his phone was stolen along with the vehicle, Akon reportedly used the FindMyPhone app to track his phone and find his vehicle. The app first led him to Lawton Street in southwest Atlanta but when law enforcement got there, they couldn't get the car. The second time, the app led them to Forest Park where the car was eventually found by the Forest Park GA Police Department and returned to Akon on Tuesday morning. No arrests have been made in connection with the theft of Akon's car.
