Asisat Oshoala becomes first female Nigerian and African to win UEFA champions league


Nigeria's female striker, Asisat Oshoala, is now the first African and first Nigerian female player to win the UEFA champions league title as Barcelona Feminis Beats Chelsea ladies. 

Oshoala, 26, who was brought into the game in the 71st minute scored a goal but it was ruled as offside. 

Barcelona women had taken the lead in the first minute of the game after Chelsea's Melanie Leupolz, scored an own goal.  

Alexia Putellas, Aitana Bonmati and Caroline Graham Hansen, also scored in the game to give Barcelona Feminis the win over Chelsea ladies.  

Before the game, Asisat Oshoala said Barcelona has learned from their mistakes against Lyon last year, and won't repeat any mistakes in the Chelsea game.
