Buhari met with officials & security chiefs at presidential villa


A meeting was held at the presidential villa, which was summoned by President Muhammadu Buhari. Buhari met with security chiefs, government officials of the presidential villa. A host of them were present and they are;

General Leo Irabor; Chief of defense staff,

Lt General Ibrahim Attahiru; chief of Army staff,

Rear Admiral Awwal Gambo; chief of Naval staff,

Air Marshal Isiaka Amao; chief of Air staff,

Acting inspector general of police; Usman Baba,

Director general of the department of state services; Yusuf Bichi,

Vice president; Yemi Osinbajo,

Secretary to government; Boss Mustapha,

National security adviser; Babagana Monguno,

Chief of staff to president; Ibrahim Gambari and Ministers were also present.

The meeting was organized to deliberate on how to curtail security issues such as kidnapping, killings, terrorism etc, in the country.

The meeting was stretched to a longer period of time, when the presidency confirmed the security breach at the state house. The spokesman, Garba Shehu, admitted there was an attempt to rob the Gambari residence, located across the villa and this was said to have occurred on Monday at 3am but their operation failed. 

Although, they were unsuccessful it still raises an alarm on how they were able to enter the most guarded place in the country, seat of power to infiltrate the government.
