Champions league finals set to be moved to Portugal

Champions league final between English teams Chelsea and Manchester city to be staged at Portugal.

This came after the United kingdom government and the  UEFA body could not reach an agreement over coronavirus exemptions for some officials, officiating in the match.

The all-English final between the teams was supposed to be played in Instabul on May 29, but the increase in coronavirus cases in Turkey led to the search for a new venue.

Wembley stadium in England was part of the possible venues for the match but due to the restrictions placed on travellers by the United kingdom government, they banned English fans from attending.

The 50000-seat stadium known as Estadio do Dragao, which belongs to the Porto stadium has now been selected as the stadium to be used for the final of the competition.

Chelsea and Manchester city will both receive a ticket for fans between 4,500 and 6,000, with the announcement to be officially made by UEFA body today.
