Indigenous people of Biafra urges public to disregard plans to attack the state


The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has made it known to the public that the they should not believe stories made by the government of its members planning to attack Lagos State.

On Monday, May 10, the commissioner of police in Lagos State, Hakeem Odumosu in a security meeting with the state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, made it known that they received information that some members of the Indigenous People of Biafra are planning to attack the state.

He said that, plans are in place to neutralize all plans made to attack the state.

He also urged citizens of the state to be vigilant at all times and they should report anything if they notice illegal movements in the state.


IPOB spokesman, Emma Powerful, replied to the allegations and urged the public to disregard the accusations made by the state police. He also made it known that the police in the state are planning to cause disharmony among the Yorubas and the Ndigbos.

He said, all plans made by the government towards the group won't work.
