Qatar's Finance Minister arrested


Qatari Finance Minister, Ali Sherif al-Emadi has been arrested for talks over charges of theft, maltreatment of force, and violations identified with the public area. 

An assertion conveyed by state news office QNA declared his capture on Thursday, May 6. 

"In the wake of exploring archives, and their appended reports, The Attorney General arranged the capture of the Minister of Finance Ali Sharif Al-Emadi to research what was referenced in the reports of wrongdoings identified with public office, which were harm to public assets, maltreatment of public office, and oppressive of force. The Attorney General arranged broad examinations with respect to the wrongdoings brought up in the records," read the authority articulation. 

An examination is in progress, the assertion added.

One Qatar-based representative said, "the capture was startling".
