Umoren, killed in job interview, is one of the best graduating student in her class


A twenty six year old, Iniubong Umoren, was among the top graduating students coming out 7th position with a G.P of 4.12 in the 2018/2019 session in the department of philosophy, University of Uyo. Umoren after school began to seek for a job and it was in line with her search, she came in contact with a man who deceived her with a fake interview. The man raped her and eventually killed her.

 It was disclosed by the associate professor and acting head of department of philosophy in University of Uyo, Idorenyin Esikot, that Umoren was a bright student, versatile and very hardworking and could have gain employment as a lecturer after her NYSC programme. She was a young person who was social and very dependable.

 The professor laments, Umoren was a student to be sought after if she wanted to come into the teaching profession. She never failed a course and her fellow course mates could admit to how difficult it was in their department but yet she came out as one of the top students.

 She is grieved and her death is indeed an unfortunate one.
