Yusuf Musa arrested for alleged role in vandalism of railway


The Special Adviser to the Governor of Nasarrawa State on Infrastructure, Yusuf Musa has reportedly been arrested for the role he played in the vandalism of railway tracks.

This was announced by the Nasarrawa  State Commissioner for Police, Bola Longe while parading Musa and other suspects at the Police Headquarters in Lafia on Thursday.

Mr Longe in a statement revealed that the suspects including police officers were caught after the intelligence information received by the command. According to him, the suspects turned the railways to gold mines so they vandalize the rail tracks and cart them away. He also added that plans have been put in place to stop this ugly trend from continuing.

Mr Longe added that among the suspects included, Richard Joseph, and Inspector of Police; Mali Peter, a Sergeant; Ibrahim Usman, a Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp Officer; Mohammed Isiaka, a former supervisory councillor on education; Marra Thai, a Chinese national and the manager of Yong Xing Steel Company and Samuel Shagbaor, a staff of the Nigerian railway corporation.
