Adams Oshiomhole pleaded with Obaseki

Former National Chairman of All Progressives Party, Adams Oshiomhole appealed to Obaseki to be benevolent in victory. He said this while congratulating Obaseki on his victory at the Supreme Court on Monday.

Oshiomhole had sent a letter of petition to Governor Obaseki which was made public by his media's aid Victor Oshioke in Benin. He stated a proposition on the need to set aside their differences and let it reside in the past.

The letter reads in part, "Congratulations on your victory in Supreme Court as this will quench undesirable matters that may have arised  due to the last election.

"I have tried over the years to make the move for our relationship to go beyond friends and be like that brothers of different parents.

"Irrespective of all that has happened, God knows best the reason for such, we should let go of the past.

"Obaseki had been called upon by Oshiomhole to remain  magnanimous in victory. Obaseki still stands as the Governor of Edo people.

"Once again, congratulations to our Excellency."
