Akwa-Ibom state University expelled student filed a suit against the university

Iniobong Ekpo Isang, a final year student in the department of Agricultural Engineering in Akwa-Ibom state University was expelled from school dated far back in April 9th 2021. This was as a result of the post he posted on Facebook attacking the Government that they had failed to fulfill their promise to final year students.

The school board committee claimed their decision was made in due consideration as a breach of the Matriculation oath. They officially made their decision known through a letter sent to Iniobong Ekpo which was signed by the university registrar, John. E Udo barring him from school premises.

The alleged post that was supposedly said to be an insult to the Governor reads, "it's been 2 years and 166 days since he promised, yet none of the graduates received a naira even the first class graduates were unattended to when they went to his office."

Due to unfair treatment from the schools authorities, Iniobong Ekpo filed a suit against the university demanding N20 million as compensation for damages.
