Appointment of any Igbo person as President is to endanger the lives of Nigerians - Abdurrahman Sumaila


Abdurrahman Sulaiman Kawu Sumaila, former Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on National assembly claimed the appointment of an Igbo person as President in 2023 elections would be unreasonable and a road heading into danger, to embark on such decision is to endanger the lives of Nigerian citizens.

Sumaila stated the ever increasing rate of Insecurity in the country comes from the Southeast region because they want to turn Nigeria into an anarchy. He made this remark in Kano on Thursday.

 It was stated over sometime that, certain Igbo groups in Southeast advocated for the next President to be an Igbo person, as the providential solution to the country woes.

Sumaila made mentioned of the attrocities committed in Southeast region such as killings personnel, attacks on government establishment, murder of Ahmed Gulak.

His statement reads in part, "With this attrocities committed in the southeast region, how can Nigerians think of entrusting them to govern the country. I am sure that any right thinking Nigerian will not endanger their life to support any candidates standing as politician from Southeastern region in Presidential election 2023.

"South-East are perpetuators of the attacks. They must understand if the country is chaotic, no one can escape including the perpetuators."
