Bandits surrounds Zaria state


Zaria state, in recent times are constantly faced with attacks from bandits ceaselessly. Emir of Zazzau Ahmad Bamali, sought the government for an urgent solution to be put in place.

Emir had hosted a delegation comprising of heads of security agencies at his palace. They were led by the state's Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan.

During the course of their stay, Bamali relayed the situation on ground to Aruwan. Irrespective of the military formations and training schools surrounding them, the entire vicinity were not safe.

Aruwan said in response that all hands were on deck especially the state government to protect and provide security in the state.

Among the numerous cases of the bandits attack, the following was reportedly stated. Bandits had attacked Nuhu Bamali Polytechnic, and the attack was extended to neighbouring communities, Kofar Gayan and Kofar Kona. A student was killed and other residents were kidnapped.

The latest attack had occurred around a Government girls Secondary School, Kofar Gayan. The incident was confirmed by the police spokeperson in Kaduna, Mohammed Jalige.
