Court sentence former South African President to 15 months imprisonment

Former South African President, Jacob Zuma, due to his lack of co-operation during investigation in regards to high-level graft during his administration from 2009 to 2018 and failure to appear at a corruption inquiry earlier this year, he was sentenced to 15 months imprisonment by the highest court in the country.

The inquiry which Zuma failed to appear was led by Deputy Chief of Justice, Raymond Zondo in February, hence the inquiry lawyers sought from the court for such acts to addressed.

The optimum time given to Zuma to appear before the police was 5 days as stated by the court.
