Emir of Fika's palace razed by fire


Emir of Fika, and Chairman of Yobe state council of chiefs, Alhaji Muhammadu Abali Ibn Muhammadu Idrisa was consoled concerning the fire incident at the palace on Monday.

Reports were forwarded in regards to the response of Governor of Yobe state, Mai Mala Buni towards the fire incident, which was contained in a statement released by his spokesman, Mamman Mohammed.

The Governor expressed deep sadness and stated the fire incident and damages incurred was a great loss to the Emir, Emirate and the state in general.

"No doubt that the news of the fire incident at the palace of his Highness, the Emir of Fika, gripped me.

"Although, I am grateful no one had substained injuries or lost their lives in the fire incident.

"It is right to say by all means, that the fire incident might have cost the emir, the Emirates and state in general but the worse had not happened, hence I prayed to God that the assets be restored in full fold," Buni said.
