Families of deceased policemen receives N6.5 million in cheque


Families of deceased policemen received N6.5 million from the Inspector-general of Police, Usman Baba. Baba presented cheques worth N6.5 million to families of deceased policemen. It was confirmed by ASP Mohammed Jalige in a statement that the money was from IGP family Welfare insurance.

The officers had lost their lives in the line of duty to Kaduna state.

Commissioner of Police, Kaduna Command, Umar Muri officially presented the cheques on Thursday.

Furthermore, the IGP stated the welfare given would boost the moral of officers, in order for them to do more. Welfare stands as an important factor to the current administration of force. 

Baba concluded with an advice to the deceased families, "use the money judiciously to uplift your financial situation and cater for your children."
