Federal Government approves Federal Capital Development Authority land swap plan


Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) land swap plan which has been pending under the former dispensation for sometime was finally approved by the Federal Executive Council which is headed by President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday.

The plan was designed in order to rectify infrastructural defaults in the Federal Capital Territory. The plan was strategized for land to be exchanged for provision of infrastructure. The trade by barter agreement would be between the Government and private investors. A budget of N1 trillion had already been put in place under the former democratic leadership.

Details in the meeting in regards to final conclusions was disclosed by FCT Minister, Mohammed Bello, during a briefing with the state house correspondents.

Although, the plan was made under the former democratic leadership rule, the plan has been revised by providing a legal framework to establish the protection of all parties involved.
