Federal Government fulfills the promise of allocation of houses to Super Eagles Players


Legendary Super Eagles football stars were promised 27 years ago, houses as reward from the Federal Government if they bring back the African Cup of Nations title home.

In 1994, the Super Eagles team made the list of team qualified for the FIFA world cup appearance and eventually defeated Argentina 2-1 in United States.

The promise of 27 years ago bears forth manifestation on June 24th, 2021 because Buhari finally approved the allocation of houses to the Super Eagles team. President Muhammadu Buhari approved allocation of 3 bedroom flats to every player in the team.

Minister of Works and Housing revealed Buhari gave preference to the players the choice to choose their state of preference for the allocation of their houses.

The players to be allocated houses were, Peter Rufai, Alloy Agu, Ike Shorounmu, Uche Okechukwu, Samson Siasia, Efan Ekoku, Sunday Oliseh, Benedict Iroha, Isaac Semitoje, Mutiu Adepoju, Emmanuel Amunike, Victor Ikpeba, Austin Eguavoen, Wilfred Agbonavbare (deceased), Uche Okafor (deceased), Thompson Oliha (deceased),  Stephen Keshi (deceased), Christian Chukwu, Dr Amin Amao, Stephen Edema, Col.A. Asielue and B Aromasodun.
