Fulani herdsmen attack the communities in Benue state

 

Fulani herdsmen butchered not less than 60 residents in Izzi, Ekile ward of Ado LGA, Benue state.

Deputy Benson Abounu, confirmed the incidence while addressing the residents left in the town.

Abounu entreat President Muhammadu Buhari, Sultan of Sokoto, Lamido of Adamawa and other leaders in the North to caution fulani Herdsmen over the genocide in their state.

In line with what Abounu said, "the reoccurring attacks by fulani herbsmen would stop if the leaders of states and President Muhammadu Buhari step in.

Ado Local Government Council, Hon. James Otse stated the residents were attacked while they were fast asleep.

Ado Local Government is bordered by Ohaukwu, LGA of Ebonyi state where the attack was launched. The attack was spread across four different Communities, Ndobasi, Obakoto, Ndokem and Ataloga.

The unrest created by Fulani herdsmen in the South-East region has extended towards some communities in Benue state.
