IPOB can't give orders in Rivers State - Governor Nyesom Wike

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers declared the Indigenous People of Biafra cannot dictate matters in Rivers state because they are not part of South East. IPOB gave a-sit-at-home order to the people in Rivers state.

Wike, speaking during an interview on Channels Television's Politics Today on Monday reiterated that IPOB doesn't exist in Rivers.

It was earlier announced by IPOB through their Spokeperson, Emma Powerful that human and vehicle movements on Monday would be restricted to mark the 54th anniversary of Biafra's.

However, Wike said, "he doesn't condemn the activities of IPOB in the South East region but they can't dictate the affairs in Rivers State. Rivers State is not a part of South-East but South-South.

"He isn't saying the people in the South-East shouldn't follow what IPOB said but IPOB can't give orders to Rivers people to stay at home."
