President Muhammadu commissions completed railway line project in Lagos

 

President Muhammadu Buhari Administration has been recognized as one that invested heavily in transportation. Ibadan standard guage railway in Lagos, the very first double-track standard guage rail in West Africa was constructed and completed under Buhari's administration.

The construction of the railway began in March 2017 and it was test-run in December 2020. The newly constructed railway, at Ebute Metta Station known as Mobolaji Johnson station is the largest railway in West-Africa with a holding capacity of 6,000 passengers.

President Mohammed Buhari had arrived in Lagos, June 10, he has been expected to commission the 156km Lagos-Ibadan standard guage railway line in Lagos.
