The war against banditry and terrorism cannot be won by a single service unit - Faruk Yahaya

  

Chief of Army Staff, Faruk Yahaya stated the solution to win the war against banditry and terrorism in Nigeria is through a co-operative effort with all services work in unison.

The war against banditry and terrorism is not a one man fight but must involve the co-operation of other arms of the armed forces of Nigeria.

Edward Gabkeet, Director of Public Relations and Information, Nigerian Air Force paid a courtesy visit to the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Oladayo Amao, at NAF headquarters in Abuja.

During his visit, he made a remark in quoting Yahaya, he said, "The COAS has always been an advocate of airpower employment as critical requirements of a fighting force having witnessed the influence on various operations.

"Major General Yahaya went on air to state that the war against insurgency and banditry cannot be won by a single service but through a co-operative efforts of all service work in unison.

"The earlier we realize that one service can't do it alone, the better for us as armed forces and as a nation to surmount the current security challenges."
