Governor Samuel Ortom advise Nigerians to pray for Nigeria during the Eid-el-Kabir celebration


In recognition of the upcoming Eid-el-Kabir celebration, the Governor of Rivers state, Samuel Ortom encouraged Nigerians to pray for the peace and unity of Nigeria.

The Governor's goodwill greetings is disclosed in a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary, Terver Akase on Monday.

Aligning with the Governor's statement, the crisis in Nigeria surrounding kidnapping, fulani herbsmen, murder and terrorism will require the co-operation of security agencies in unison. Ortom assured the people that their security and well-being is of utmost importance in his regime.

His statement reads, "Governor Ortom says Eid-el-Kabir offers all Muslims the opportunity to exemplify the virtues of piety, honesty, charity and generosity, according to the teachings of Prophet Muhammad.

“He gives assurance that the present administration will continue to uphold the values of transparency, accountability, justice and equity in serving the people of the state.

“Governor Ortom once again appreciates the understanding and support Benue people have given him since 2015 despite the challenges the State Government has faced within the period.

“He wishes the people of the state a joyful Eid-el-Kabir celebration”.
