House of Representatives initially ordered the set up committee on Information, ICT, intelligence, Justice and Orientation to probe and analyse the causes and outcomes of Twitter's ban on their operations by the federal government.

From the reports forwarded by the committee, the house of representatives supported the suspension of Twitter's ban on July 1st.

Although, the Deputy Minority Leader of the house, Toby Okechukwu stated in consideration of the negative impact of Twitter's ban, the suspension should be lifted, another member also agreed giving Okechukwu his support.

However, at the end when they were called to vote, majority of the members rejected the lifting up of the suspension of twitter.
