John Campbell addresses the government to approach IPOB's leader trial with great caution


Former United States Ambassador to Nigeria, John Campbell disclosed the IPOB's leader, Nnamdi Kanu trial needs to be approach with great caution.

Campbell disclosed this via his Twitter handle. His post reads; "Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the indigenous people of Biafra was apprehended and has been returned to Nigeria for trial. If the government's botches Kanu's trial, it risks further inflaming separatism.

As earlier reported within the week, Nnamdi Kanu was arrested abroad on Sunday, June 27th and was deported back to Nigeria apprehended by security agencies.

Kanu was presented before Justice Binta Nyako to continuation of his trial in the Federal High Court, Abuja. Towards the adjournment of his trial, he was to remain in the custody of the Department of State Services.
