John Mikel Obi changes club


Football star and the former Super Eagles Captain, John Mikel Obi changed club and has been recruited by Kuwaiti Premiere League Club Al Kuwait SC. The team signed him up for a one-year contract. His recruitment was to aid and strengthen forth the team's position, they emerged third in the premiere last season behind Al-Qadsia and leader Al-Arabi

However, he isn't the only recruited African that will be playing in the Al Kuwait Sports Club stadium, Morocco's El-Mehdi Barrahma, Tunsia duo Ahmed Akaichi and Rami Bedoui and Mali's Abdulwahid Sissoko in the Brigadier's line up will also be playing.

John Obi's ranking stands out among top footballers even in Asian football, he played for two years in Super league, Tianjin Teda. Hence, many doors have been opened up to him, his contract with stoke city was also renewed after his display of football prowess in England.

John Obi distinguished himself among the players Michael O'Neill's team in the 2020-21 season after a major win for the team.

This was after his terminated contract with Turkish Super Lig Club Trabzonspor, following his move to England.
