Kano Hisbah frowns at the use of mannequins by tailors and in boutiques


The use mannequins by tailors or in boutique was stated to be against the Islamic rules. It was alleged that the use of mannequins promote idolatry and immoral activities.

Hence, the Kano Hisbah board gave an order that the use of mannequins should be prohibited on Wednesday.

In compliance with the command, the Commander of Sheikh Ibn Sina also disclosed his support to uproot any form of disobedience to the command.

The tribunal quoting the Sheikh in saying said, " Hisbah prohibits the use of mannequins at shops, commercial and private residences and other public places.

"This violates the Islamic provision, it's also responsible for immoral thoughts among some members of the public and all these are against Islam."

For effective implementation in compliance with the Hisbah command, Kano state has been divided into five areas, teachings are organized to educate the people on what Islam frowns at.

Any individuals that failed to adhere to the command will be arrested and prosecuted.
