NDLEA arrests a woman for possession of illicit drugs


Brazil based Nigerian woman, Mrs Anita Ugochinyere Ogbonna, during the check point was searched by National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, unlawful items were found on her, hence she was held hostage.

During the search, 100 pallets of cocaine was found in her private part and handbag. The entire incident took place on Friday night when she arrived in Abuja through Qatar Air from Sao Paulo, Brazil.

However, the reports was disclosed in a statement released to the News Agency of Nigeria on Sunday in Abuja.

From the interrogations conducted, the suspect stated she was a mother of three children and her husband died 3 years old. However, what actually pressurised her to do drug trafficking was to raise money for her father's burial scheduled to hold on July 22nd, in Imo state.

She further stated the drugs were given to her by Emeka known as KC in Brazil, though she owns an African shop where she sells foodstuffs but due to her trip, she had leave the shop and her three kids with a Kenyan woman.
