Prof. Victor Uwaifo passes unto glory, aged 80

 The great lyricist and guitarist, sir Victor Efosa Uwaifo reportedly passed onto glory at aged 80, of chest infection. The news of the demise of the deceased was disclosed by one of his family member, Uwaifo Peter De Rock, on his Facebook page on Saturday evening, wrote:

"Daddy whyyyyyyyyyy. Did you leave us now. Prof. Sir Victor UWAIFO has gone to rest. Black Saturday for me now. One week now after collaborating with me."

Prof. Victor Uwaifo was born on March 1941. He studied at the university of Benin, where he bagged B.A Honours ( First class Valedictorian) at aged 54, Master's degree in Sculpture at aged 56 and Doctor of philosophy (PhD) in Architectural sculpture at aged 77. The Legendary Nigerian singer was also awarded certificate of Honour by the House of representatives, Boston Massachusetts.

Prof. Victor Uwaifo won his first gold disc in Africa with his most popular music album "Joromi", released in 1965. He also won seven other gold discs with Guitar Boy, Arabade, Ekasssa series and Akwete music.

Victor Uwaifo had to be supported with oxygen, until his last breath. May his soul rest in perfect peace.
