Actor, Michael K. Williams passes unto Glory


US actor, Michael K. Williams, who played the roles, Omar Little and Albert "Chalky" White on HBO drama series, died at aged 54. The father of seven was reportedly found dead in his Penthouse apartment in Brooklyn, New York on Monday, a day after Hurricane Ida pummeled New York City, killing 12 people on September 6, reports states.

Following the reports of William's death, there were traces of heroin near the actor's body, there was  evidence of suspected drug overdose and no violence at the scene.

Before his death, Williams spoke about his ongoing journey to recover from drugs. He said:

"I just started therapy, you know, and really taking that seriously and starting to unpack, like you said, the critic in my head and what and how that has affected my actions, my response to certain situations, my relationships."

Williams, was a five-time Emmy nominee, well known for his role as Baltimore stick-up man Omar Little on HBO, "The Wire."

He was nominated for an Emmy for his role as best supporting actor in "Love Craft Country" the awards are September 19.
