Griezmann returns to Atlético Madrid from Barcelona


French professional footballer, Antoine Griezmann has officially returned to his former club Barcelona, from Atlético Madrid, after his 2years loan deal of purchase option with Barca reached a deadline.

The 30-year-old superstar initially left Atlético Madrid for Barcelona, sealing mega money bag in the last summer of 2019, after his £130m (€120m) release clause was paid in full.

Griezmann won Copa del Rey for Barcelona, last season.

The official statement released by Barcelona reads: "FC Barcelona and Atlético Madrid have reached an agreement for the loan of Antoine Griezmann for a season with the option of a further season. The Madrid club will pay the player's wages and there is a compulsory permanent transfer clause.

"FC Barcelona would like to thank Antoine Griezmann for his commitment and dedication and wishes him all the best for the future."

Antoine Griezmann, started out his career with Real sociedad, won Segunda División title in his first session, after joining Atlético Madrid in 2014, then records €30 million, where he scored 133 amazing goals, 50 more in 254 appearance for over 5 seasons, he won UEFA Europa League, Spanish Super Cup and the UEFA super cup, won Laliga Best player, Supercopa de España, won Best FIFA men's player in 2016 and 2018.
