Vice chancellor of UNIBEN orders the closure of the school over the recent protest


The students of UNIBEN all came out in mass to protest against the 20,000 Naira late payment of fee that was imposed on the students.

The students blocked the very busy road of the Benin-Lagos expressway and protested.

However, the vice chancellor, Lilian Salami ordered for the immediate closure of the university. 

NAN, who also spoke with some students said "The increment was so unpleasant and the economic state of the country is not one to smile about." They had to come out to speak up.

The chancellor, Lilian Salami said: "The closure of the school for now is a good decision."
